2002 FALL HUNT

Randy and Todd took these two pigs on the last day they had available to hunt. After six days in the field they got it done. (The pigs are the ones in the bottom of the photo)
George and I got into our stands at about 8:00am. We sat in our stands for about 6 hours. We had two does come in but no bucks! At about 2:00pm two bucks started down the trail towards the spring box. Both bucks took thier time coming into the water. The larger of the two came down first, presenting a beautiful 35 yard shot. I took the shot, hitting him high in the neck! The shot exited behind his shoulder providing a strong trail. I trailed him for several hours. Finally, there was my deer. I took a second shot and put him down. This was my first coes deer with a bow and one of the greatest hunts I've ever been on! To add to all of this he taped out to 100" well past the Pope & Young minimum score of 65".
Mark hit this 350 bull so hard that the horns fell off!
It looks like that didn't make the smiles any smaller.
Congratulations Mark!
Colton arrowed his first bear and this was his first recurve kill as well.
He made two great shots: One at 45ft. and one at 85ft. on this treed black bear.
This was Kathy's first deer. She stocked this buck with several does and made a great shot.
It sounds like we will be seeing more photos from her.
Good job Kathy!
Mike Wall shot this goat at 40 yards on water, out of his DOUBLE BULL ground blind.
Chip Leivas shot this awsome whitetail out of a tree stand. The tree stand was on a trail that he ran a trail timer on all summer. It looks like his time was well spent.
Well done Chip!
Roland Chooljian shot this great looking antalope from a ground blind the first day of the hunt. He did his homework and scouted this site tirelessly befor the season opened and it paid off.
Two for two Roland! What is your secret?
Now I have to carry him back!
Virgil House knows how to get them to fall into the back of a truck!
Tony White shot this deer opening day of archery deer season. He missed him once, then as if it was meant to be, the buck came back and he put his tag on it.
